Newhall Coffee for a Cause was founded by Mitch McMullen, who launched the Newhall Coffee Roasting Company

Mitch has a passion for coffee, and opened Mitch's Java 'n Jazz in Newhall, CA featuring his favorite European espressos, provided in an atmosphere of art, music, and quality entertainment. While successful, Mitch was still not satisfied with the quality of coffee he was getting from other roasters. So he began to roast his own. Newhall Coffee Roasting Company is now considered to be one of the premier coffees on the West Coast and is sold in major retailers including Costco, Sam's Club, Albertston's, Gelson's, and Whole Foods.

Since day one, Mitch and the company have been devoted to much more than just great coffee. Leukemia took the life of Mitch's beloved older brother Corey several years ago, and Newhall remains dedicated to his honor. Newhall Coffee provides ongoing support to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America, to help fight and cure these cancers of the blood. Furthermore, Newhall Coffee's popular Patriot Blend has enabled the Company to donate more than 4,000,000 cups of American Made Morale to United States service people in combat through Operation Gratitude.

These and similar programs have been so successful that Mitch decided to help other non-profit organizations raise funds for worthy causes, while also sharing his love for quality fresh roasted coffee. With Newhall Coffee for a Cause, qualified non-profits can sell one of California's best coffee selections, and receive a significant percentage of the proceeds from every purchase to continue their effort to make the world a better place.
